Blind flange is a solid flange as shown below. The purpose of these is to block off a section of pipe or a nozzle on a vessel that is not used. (A nozzle is typically a pipe coming out of a vessel and is usually flanged so it can be connected to valves or piping). Many times a nozzle will be blanked off with a blind flange for pressure tests in a plant, or simply because the customer does not need all the nozzles that were supplied on the tank.
SHS has a flat surface, similarly to RHS, encompassing the entire outer rim. This makes it a viable and economical choice for a hollow section that’s needed for joining, welding and anything that requires little to no edge preparation.

Duplex stainless steel is a very useful metal that is used the world over. It gets its name from the fact that it consists of two different grades of metal. Essentially, Duplex is a Fe-Ni-Cr alloy that has a two-phase ferritic-austenitic stainless-steel microstructure when it is at room temperature.

Tubing is pipe used for the transportation of crude oil and natural gas from an oil or gas layer to the surface after drilling is complete. Tubing is manufactured in the same way as casing, except that an additional process known as “upsetting” is applied to thicken the pipes.
