Valve

Various classification of ball valves

Classification according to structural form

  1. Floating ball valve:The ball will be tightly pressed on the sealing surface of the outlet under the action of medium pressure to ensure the sealing of the outlet. The valve has simple structure, good sealing, and is suitable for medium and low pressure occasions.
  2. Fixed ball valve:The ball is fixed and does not move after pressure, usually with a floating seat, which can be freely rotated along the axis perpendicular to the valve channel. The ball valve torque is small, the valve seat deformation is small, the sealing performance is stable, the service life is long, suitable for high pressure, large diameter occasions.
  3. Elastic ball valve:The ball is elastic, through the application of external force to produce elastic deformation to ensure sealing, suitable for high temperature and high pressure media.
  4. V-shaped ball valve:The ball core has a V-shaped structure, which has a shearing effect, especially suitable for media containing fiber or small solid particles, such as papermaking, chemical industry, metallurgy and other industries. In addition, V-shaped ball valves allow for more precise flow regulation.
  5. Track ball valve:track ball valve and gate valve are the same type of valve, the difference is that its closing part is a ball, the ball rotates around the center line of the valve body to achieve the opening and closing of a valve.

Second, according to the driving method classification

1 Manual ball valve: The valve is opened and closed by manual operation, which is suitable for various fluid pipelines.

2 Electric ball valve: The valve is opened and closed by electric drive, suitable for automatic control system and remote control.

3 Pneumatic ball valve: The valve is opened and closed by compressed air, which is suitable for fluid control systems requiring fast response and high precision.

4 Hydraulic ball valve: through the hydraulic pressure to drive the opening and closing of the valve, in some specific occasions also have applications.

Three, according to the sealing material classification

1 Soft seal ball valve: The sealing material is soft material such as rubber or polytetrafluoroethylene, which is suitable for fluid pipelines with high sealing requirements.

2 Hard seal ball valve: The sealing material is metal material, suitable for high temperature and high pressure and other harsh environment used in the fluid pipeline.

Four, according to the use of media classification

1 Water ball valve: suitable for tap water, cooling water, hot water and other water medium pipelines.

2 Steam ball valve: suitable for steam, hot air and other high temperature medium pipelines.

3 Gas ball valve: suitable for oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and other gas medium pipelines.

3 Ball valve for acid and alkali: suitable for corrosive medium pipelines such as strong acid and alkali.

Five, according to the connection method classification

  • Flanged ball valve: through the flange connection, suitable for all kinds of fluid pipelines.
  • Clamp ball valve: Through the clamp connection, suitable for small caliber fluid pipeline. Threaded ball valve: threaded connection, suitable for small diameter and low pressure fluid pipeline.
  • Screw ball valve is divided into one piece type, two pieces type, three pieces type, one piece type is also known as Guang-type ball valve.
  • Socket ball valve: Through the socket connection, suitable for water supply, drainage and other fluid pipelines.
  • Bushing ball valve: connected by bushing, suitable for small diameter and low pressure fluid pipelines.
  • Clamp ball valve: through the clamp connection, suitable for large diameter fluid pipeline.
  • Double control ball valve: Through the double control connection, suitable for large diameter fluid pipeline.

In addition, there are some special types of ball valves, such as eccentric ball valves (with small fluid resistance, suitable for occasions requiring low flow resistance and fast opening and closing), three-way ball valves (there are T and L types, which can be used in three orthogonal pipelines for flow distribution or flow direction switching) and so on.
